About REDKEN

Redken is an American brand, found in 1960 and owned by L’Oreal. It was set up by actress Paula Kent and hairdresser Jheri Redding, hence the name Redken was born. Paula found that many of the styling products irritated her sensitive skin and wanted to find something more suitable for her skin. The Redken range aims to complement the natural pH balance of the hair and skin, based on feedback from professionals and make use of protein technology – as this is what hair is mainly composed of.

This is used on hair when lightening, to help reduce and improve the damaging effects. Many clients want to go blonde, but have had bad experiences of broken / dry / damaged hair. This is where Olaplex comes in! This treatment improves the strength and overall condition of hair, so that it is able for the chemicals used in lightening. The end result is beautiful shiny hair that feels and looks healthy. If you have any questions about the treatment, our staff will be more than happy to help.
